Kay Ford Johnsen has tried a wide variety of jobs over the years, but none of them ever felt like it fit. While seeking fulfillment as an individual, Kay was also a wife, mother to a challenging child, legal guardian of her mother, and held powers of attorney for her father.

She began keeping a journal, seeing it as a way to vent her confusion, complaints, and frustrations. She was surprised to discover that writing also accessed an inner wisdom that helped her resolve her issues. Writing became a source of spiritual discovery.

She is now in her element as a meditation teacher on Insight Timer, a writer, group facilitator, and speaker. She has created journaling and self-care workshops, is a certified Instructor of The Center for Journal Therapy‘s Journal to the Self workshop, and is a member of the International Association for Journal Writing. She is studying for a ministerial degree from International Metaphysical Ministries.

She is actively involved in caring for her three grandchildren.
